One of the main reasons to avoid wearing sleeveless tops and dresses can be due to the appearance of our upper arms. It can also be genetic, even if we are fit, maintain a healthy lifestyle and have low body fat.
As we age, our bodies slow down the production of essential proteins that enable skin to stretch and contract because our elastin and collagen diminishes. Connective tissues and muscles deteriorate and skin under the arms becomes loose and sagging. Workouts for biceps and triceps are unlikely to firm the arm fat, surgery is an option but leaves a visible scar. Alternatively, there are several non-surgical ‘arm lift’ treatments that are highly effective at sculpting, tone and redefine the upper arms.

At The Cosmetic Skin Clinic we offer several different treatments options that can build arm muscle as well as tone the arms and reduce any pockets of fat that appear over time. Another concern can be skin laxity on the inside of the upper arms. For example, CoolSculpting® can significantly reduce unwanted arm fat, EMSculpt and EMSculpt Neo can sculpt and tone the biceps and triceps, while Ultherapy® and Thermage® CPT are skin lifting and skin tightening treatments that can address the skin laxity on the upper arms. In combination, you have the ultimate non-surgical arm lift treatments that delivers impressive, durable, results.
Coolsculpting a fat freezing (cryolipolysis) treatment, for the reduction in arm fat, which is due to deposits of fat in the upper arm area:
Reducing the fat cells with noticeable results.
EMSculpt – World’s first and only treatment to sculpt and tone arms and legs:
EMSculpt Neo – Burns fat and boosts muscle mass across the arms and legs with maximum efficiency:
Ultherapy – uses focused ultrasound imaging to tighten and lift sagging arm skin:
Thermage CPT Skin Tightening – a safe, non-invasive radiofrequency (RF) technology that tightens and firms up the skin on the upper arms:
Different treatments achieve different outcomes. We would recommend an initial consultation with one of our qualified medical practitioners who will assess you and devise a personalised treatment plan that’s tailored to treat your concern.
It depends on the arm lift treatment recommended for you, or if you are having a combination of the treatments mentioned. Our medical practitioner will give you all the advice you need at the time of your consultation.
There is little to no downtime with any of the treatments mentioned above. You may experience a little redness immediately after treatment which disappears very quickly. In some cases, you may experience slight bruising, but this can disappear in a few days. But with all these treatments you can resume normal activities right away.
When the CoolPetite applicator is first placed on the area being treated, you may feel a slight pulling sensation as it turns colder in the first 5 minutes but all this subsides very quickly, so you can sit back and relax to watch TV, which is available in all of our CoolSculpting suites.
EMSculpt just feels like an intensive workout, but you are lying down and can relax during the treatment.
With Ultherapy, temporary discomfort may be felt when the ultrasound energy is delivered, but this is only a temporary sensation and a positive sign that the collagen-building process has been initiated. With the upgrade of Ultherapy Amplify, it has been found to be much more comfortable treatment.
Thermage CPT (Comfort Pulse Technology) has a combination of heat energy to treat deep tissue and cooling effects to protect the skin’s surface to deliver improvedpatient comfort. Throughout the procedure, your practitioner will checkthe level of heat sensation to make sure you feel comfortable while achieving the very best treatment results for you.
