The Daily Mail Nip & Tuck 22nd May 2017
The Nip & Tuck articles by Dr Tracy Mountford appear weekly, in print and online in the Monday ‘Inspire’ section. In this week’s column, a reader asks if there are any treatments to soften a masculine jawline:
Are there any ways to soften a masculine jawline?
Muscle relaxing injections such as Botox can really help with teeth grinding when injected in the jaw muscle. It is a safe procedure which has the added bonus of narrowing the jawline to make it appear less bulky. In people how have a narrow upper face, contouring the jaw in this way gives a pleasing cosmetic result, as it gives balance to your face.
You can also have dermal fillers injected into the upper part of the face to widen the temple and cheek area and this will make the lower part of your face look smaller. Dr Mountford advises to start with muscle relaxing injections first before deciding if you wish to have further treatment.
