What is bra fat?

Bra fat also known as armpit fat or underarm fat, is a physical issue that affects a wide range of women with different body shapes. It describes the process of when skin and fat pushes out from underneath the structure and straps of your bra, creating a bulbous bra fat bulge that creates an uneven surface. It can make many women feel self-conscious about their appearance while also affecting how your clothes fit.

What causes bra fat?

Our bodies tend to store excess fat in areas such as the hips, thighs, arms and back. This can be due to consuming the wrong diet, insufficient exercise, hormones and genetics – and, of course, age.
